Luxotica supports regular fire jams that are an open and friendly way to learn how to fire spin, practice with unlit fire poi, zuni poi swings, flag poi or fire staff, learn some basic fire dance techniques and poi moves, and to meet other beginner, intermediate and advanced fire dancers in Vancouver, BC.

Poi workshops are offered in 4 levels. Each Level will consist of 4 classes. Once completing these classes there is a advanced Fire Dance Class offered that includes fire poi construction, safety, first aid, fuels, msds, fire theatrix, curing the poi and the first burn.

Mount Royal CollegePoi: Dancing in the Light - Levels 1 & 2 Poi is fun and it improves coordination, spatial awareness and muscle strength. The most spectacular Poi uses coloured glow sticks or fire and is performed in dark settings.

Euphoria StudiosEuphoria offers beginner and intermediate fire poi lessons. Beginner classes focus on use of Poi as a dance form, and the basics of poi moves, poi spinning, including positioning of the body, planes and movement, and basic fire poi tricks. Intermediate classes continue building on the fundamentals and introduce new moves, transitioning and choreography.

Fire poi spinning classes are taught in six week sessions, on Mondays between 6:50PM and 9PM.

Camp Augusta is a nonprofit organization that has a variety of summer camps and a wide range of activities including; Archery, Canoeing, Dancing, a Climbing Wall, Mountain Biking, Outdoor Cooking, Yoga. If I were a kid again, this is where I would want to go for the summer.
